To report the outstanding rent to the Credit Bureaus you’ll need the Tenant’s First Name, Last Name, Email, DOB, and the amount owing. You do not need a court judgment to report the debt.

Rent Reporting gives Landlords a simple and effective way to recover unpaid rent from former Tenants. By reporting unpaid balances, you encourage Tenants to take responsibility for what they owe, reminding them that their rent obligations don’t just disappear.

Rent Recovery Facts

You pay a one-time fee of $99 with a Premium Membership or $199 with a Basic Membership per rental debt reported.
If the amount of debt reported is accurate and only includes unpaid rent and unpaid utilities as outlined in the lease, then you do not require a judgment, ruling or monetary order.   
 
To report damages or penalty fees, you do require a judgment, ruling or monetary order. 
 
If you have or subsequently obtain a judgment, ruling or monetary order then the amount of debt reported using FrontLobby must be updated to match.

No, FrontLobby does not take a portion of the recovered debt. We charge a one-time administration fee for Debt Reporting services, but any payments made by the Tenant go directly to the Landlord or Property Manager—no commissions or percentages taken.

Yes, Property Managers, Paralegals, Realtors acting as Property Managers and Eviction Specialists can report rental data on behalf of the Landlord. 
 
To report data to the Credit Bureaus you must have a management agreement or similar contract that provides you with the agency to collect rent on behalf of the Landlord. 
 
The person reporting the data is responsible for updating the data to ensure the balance is accurate and up to date. It’s important to remember that only one party can report the data to the Credit Bureaus. The Landlord and Property Manager cannot both report the same rental data for the same Tenant as this causes duplication.
